UNION / Form Follows Identity
Six perspectives on a single garment concept. Exploring how architectural paneling, controlled volume, sculptural construction, and integrated branding establish a distinctive streetwear identity.
UNION / Form Follows Identity
UNION is an experimental structural streetwear concept developed by Shaman Dept, exploring how garment construction can define identity without relying on oversized graphics or decorative elements. The design centers on a sculptural hood, architectural panel transitions, and controlled oversized proportions. Curved seam lines connect contrasting shades of charcoal and soft gray, creating depth and movement throughout the silhouette. A layered front panel introduces a distinctive structural element, complemented by a minimal chrome-inspired emblem. Raised UNION lettering is integrated into the back composition, allowing branding to follow the garment's visual architecture rather than compete with it. The concept balances exaggerated volume with precise visual detailing, creating a contemporary streetwear silhouette that feels both technical and understated. Presented through atmospheric fashion visualizations and detailed garment studies, UNION reflects Shaman Dept's approach to apparel design—where proportion, structure, material expression, and brand identity work as one cohesive system.
